The Uza Terrace Beach Club Villas
First Impressions
Walking into The Uza Terrace Beach Club Villas honestly feels like discovering someone’s incredibly well-kept secret. This five-star property sits right on Okinawa’s coastline in Yomitan, and I mean right on it — you’re basically steps from some of the most pristine beach I’ve seen in Japan. The whole place has this understated luxury vibe that doesn’t scream “look at me” but quietly whispers “you’ve made it.” You know what struck me most? How they’ve managed to blend traditional Okinawan architecture with modern comfort without it feeling forced or touristy.
The Villas Experience
Each villa here is essentially your own private retreat, which is exactly what you want when you’re paying for this level of accommodation. The room I stayed in had floor-to-ceiling windows that opened completely to blur the line between indoor and outdoor living. There’s something magical about waking up to unobstructed ocean views — and I don’t use that word lightly. The interiors feel authentically Japanese but with all the modern touches you’d expect from a luxury property. Actually, the attention to detail is what sets this place apart; even the bathroom fixtures feel thoughtfully chosen rather than just expensive for the sake of it.
Location and What’s Around
Yomitan is one of those places that locals know about but tourists often miss, which works in your favor here. You’re close enough to Okinawa’s main attractions but far enough away to feel like you’ve escaped the crowds. The beach right outside is part of what makes this location so special — it’s the kind of water that looks almost artificial it’s so blue. There’s decent parking on-site, which matters more than you’d think when you’re exploring the island. Plus, couples seem to really get it (they rate the location 9.5, and honestly, I can see why).
Dining and Amenities
The breakfast setup here is actually impressive — they do both continental and buffet options, so whether you want something light or you’re planning to fuel up for a day of exploring, you’re covered. The restaurant focuses on local ingredients, which I appreciate, though the real star is being able to dine with that ocean backdrop. They’ve got a spa that feels more like a wellness retreat than a hotel amenity, and there’s a golf course within a couple miles if that’s your thing. The fitness center is well-equipped too, though honestly, with all the outdoor activities available, you might not need it.
Why Guests Love It
Look, this isn’t just another beachfront hotel — it’s the kind of place that makes you understand why people fall in love with Okinawa. The 9.7 rating isn’t inflated; it reflects what happens when a property gets the fundamentals right and then adds those extra touches that matter. The staff genuinely seems to care about your experience rather than just going through the motions. And that location — well, when you’re sitting on your private terrace watching the sunset over the East China Sea, you’ll understand why this place has such a following among travelers who know what they’re looking for.

Amazing stay! All saff were so friendly and helpful. This hotel is on the same level as for example Four Seasons - personal care, cleanness, interior design - in reality is even much better than in the photos. And amazing food! We really enjoy this stay, thank you.

Frühstück ist nicht so gelungen. Sollte wahrscheinlich amerikanisch/französisch sein. Uns hätte japanisch besser gefallen - zumindest als Option.
