The Palms Turks and Caicos
First Impressions
Walking into The Palms Turks and Caicos, you immediately understand why this five-star resort consistently earns such high ratings. The lobby feels more like an elegant private residence than a typical hotel — all warm woods, natural stone, and those floor-to-ceiling windows that frame Grace Bay’s impossibly turquoise water. It’s luxury without the stuffiness, which honestly surprised me given how upscale everything looks.
The Suites Experience
Here’s what sets this place apart: every accommodation is actually a suite, not just a standard hotel room. Mine had a full kitchen with granite counters and stainless appliances — genuinely useful if you want to grab fresh conch from the local market or just make morning coffee without calling room service. The oversized terrace became my favorite spot, especially around sunset when the light hits Grace Bay Beach just right.
Grace Bay Paradise
The location on Grace Bay is absolutely prime real estate. You’re right on what Travel + Leisure consistently ranks as one of the world’s best beaches, and I mean directly on it — no shuttle rides or long walks through other properties. The sand here is that powdery white stuff you see in postcards, and the water stays shallow for quite a ways out, perfect for just floating around with a drink.
Dining and Amenities
The on-site restaurant, Parallel23, serves Caribbean-inspired cuisine that actually tastes authentic rather than watered down for tourists. Their conch ceviche is outstanding, and the wine list surprised me with some excellent selections. The spa treatments incorporate local ingredients — I tried the conch shell massage, which sounds gimmicky but was genuinely relaxing. There’s also a beautiful infinity pool, though honestly, with that beach right there, I barely used it.
Why Guests Love It
What really makes The Palms work is how it balances luxury with that laid-back Caribbean vibe. The service feels attentive without being intrusive — staff remember your name and preferences, but they’re not hovering. Parking is complimentary and never an issue, which matters if you rent a car to explore the island’s other beaches or hit up the local fish markets. The whole property feels intimate with just 72 suites, so you’re not fighting crowds for beach chairs or restaurant tables like at some of the larger resorts down the beach.

Our room was not an ocean view and it was a shared suite. This was not on the site and it was an issue with noise and privacy

The beach - Grace Bay. There were always plenty of towels. The complimentary breakfast with omelet station. The beds and linens. The understated elegant environment. The restaurants. All the food was terrific! The concierge was very helpful in arranging excursions and keeping us up to date. The spa was lovely and well run. Turn down service...

The beach was beautiful, the service at the restaurants were wonderful. The Resort is Romantic and beautiful, really a lovely setting . What could be improved: We reserved a one bedroom suite for my husbands birthday. We thought the suite was beautiful room 5306. Until we realized the hotel rented out the second bedroom of this suite, we heard...

The male singer at dinner was wonderful.

After sunset you could not see the entertainer. You need to put a spot light on him.

A beautiful setting. The beach, pool, landscaping and restaurants were great.

Everything was a bit pricey, but I realize that it’s an island and many things must be imported.

Husband loved the breakfast everyday

The breakfast had everything you needed for a buffet breakfast that was included in the booking. Loved the area that breakfast was served and the service was wonderful and friendly. What could be improved: The pool needed to be cleaner. Not sure if you serve drinks on the beach and take orders at the pool, if so no one came over to take a drink...
