Manoir de Lan Kérellec
First Impressions
You know what hits you first when you arrive at Manoir de Lan Kérellec? It’s not just another coastal hotel — this place feels like stumbling upon a well-kept secret along Brittany’s Pink Granite Coast. The four-star manor sits tucked away on its own little peninsula in Trébeurden, and honestly, the approach down that tree-lined drive builds anticipation perfectly. I mean, you’re basically driving toward what looks like a private estate that someone’s graciously decided to share with the world.
The Setting
The location is genuinely spectacular, and I’m not just saying that because couples apparently rate it 9.7 out of 10. You’re perched right on the water with views that stretch across the bay toward those famous pink granite rocks that make this stretch of coastline so distinctive. What I love is how they’ve managed to keep that intimate manor house feeling — there’s no massive resort vibe here, just elegant Breton architecture that actually belongs in this landscape. The parking situation is refreshingly stress-free too, which matters more than you’d think when you’re trying to navigate narrow coastal roads.
Rooms That Actually Deliver
Here’s where the Manoir really shines — the room quality lives up to the setting. Those beds everyone raves about? They’re not kidding around. After spending way too many nights in hotels where “comfortable” is more aspiration than reality, finding a place where you actually sleep well feels like winning the lottery. The rooms have that classic French elegance without being stuffy about it, and if you score one with sea views (which you should absolutely try for), you’ll understand why people keep coming back.
Morning Rituals
Breakfast here is the buffet style, but it’s done thoughtfully — none of that industrial hotel buffet nonsense. They lean into local Breton specialties, which makes sense given where you are. What I particularly appreciated was how they time everything so you’re not fighting crowds at 8 AM, and honestly, starting your day looking out over the bay while figuring out your coastal exploration plans feels pretty civilized. The dining experience sets the perfect tone for each day of your stay.
Why Guests Love It
Look, Trébeurden isn’t exactly a household name, but that’s part of what makes this place special. You’re close enough to explore the dramatic coastline — those pink granite formations at Ploumanac’h are just a short drive away — but far enough from tourist chaos to actually relax. The staff seems to understand that people come here to disconnect a bit, and they strike that perfect balance between being helpful and letting you be. It’s the kind of place where you end up extending your stay if you can, because leaving feels premature when you’ve found somewhere this genuinely peaceful and restorative.

The hotel lies in a quite residential street but still central. We had a spacious room with a large balcony offering a stunning sea view. Couldn’t get enough of it.
If you have the opportunity join the fine dining experience offered several days per week. It’s definitely worth it.

Beautiful hotel, cosy, comfortable room, spotlessly clean. Very friendly, attentive and helpful staff . We had a garden room with sunbeds and a magnificent view of the sea. Food was delicious at dinner and the breakfast was superb. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.

Did not have breakfast.

I would have preferred a conventional kettle in the room to make tea. The capsule coffee machine did not work properly.
