The Inn of Five Graces
First Impressions
Walking into The Inn of Five Graces feels like stepping into someone’s incredibly sophisticated private residence — if that someone happened to have impeccable taste and unlimited resources. This five-star boutique property sits right in the heart of Santa Fe’s historic district on East DeVargas Street, and honestly, the location couldn’t be more perfect. You’re literally steps away from the Plaza, but tucked away enough that you feel like you’ve discovered some well-kept secret.
The Neighborhood
What I love about this spot is how it captures the real Santa Fe — you know, the one locals actually care about. The Loretto Chapel is practically next door, and you can wander over to Canyon Road’s galleries without breaking a sweat. I mean, couples consistently rate this location a 9.9, and after spending time here, I totally get why. There’s something magical about being able to grab coffee at a local café in the morning, then duck back to your room for a quick rest before exploring more of the city’s art scene.
Luxury Redefined
Each suite here is basically a work of art — think rich textiles, handcrafted furniture, and details that make you want to photograph every corner. The design draws heavily from Tibetan, Indian, and Native American influences, but it never feels like a theme park. Instead, it’s this gorgeous blend that somehow makes perfect sense in Santa Fe’s cultural landscape. The bathrooms alone are worth the stay, with deep soaking tubs and rainfall showers that’ll spoil you for regular hotels. Every detail has been thoughtfully curated to create an unforgettable experience.
Dining and Amenities
Breakfast here actually impressed me — they’ve got vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options that don’t feel like afterthoughts. The American classics are solid too, and you can enjoy everything in their beautiful courtyard when the weather’s nice, which is most of the time in Santa Fe. The spa treatments incorporate local traditions and ingredients, and there’s complimentary parking on-site, which is honestly a huge relief in this part of town where finding a spot can be challenging. The culinary team sources ingredients from local purveyors whenever possible.
Why Guests Love It
What sets this place apart isn’t just the luxury — though that’s certainly there in spades. It’s how the inn manages to feel both opulent and authentically connected to its surroundings. The staff knows the city inside and out, so they’ll point you toward the best local restaurant or that gallery opening you might have missed otherwise. Plus, with only 24 suites total, you never feel like you’re staying in some massive tourist factory. It’s intimate without being stuffy, sophisticated without being pretentious — exactly what you want when you’re exploring a city as unique as Santa Fe. This property truly captures the essence of Santa Fe hospitality.

Maximalist style of decoration was very engaging. Always some little detail to uncover. Not overwhelming. Owners' Serat and Sons shop (from which decor sourced) down the street was a great experience as well. Courteous staff.

The most amazingly unique and beautiful decor! Something fascinating in every space of the premium king room. Exotic tiles , functional antiques, and beautiful tapestries was a festival for the eye in this very comfortable and convenient room. The layout of the buildings and the grounds was like a village. I loved reading about the founding...

Although this is a luxury resort, my only “complaint “ is you would think for the price of a suite / night, that that cost would include a spa package or treatment as apart of that per night cost.

One of the most amazing hotels we’ve stayed at (and we travel a lot)
Starting from the hospitality to the ambiance everything was top notch. We stayed at the Luminaria 3 bedroom villa. Each and every corner told a different story. Can’t wait to be back someday

Really quaint feel. Nice courtyards with a lot of nice landscaping. Great food and very friendly staff. What could be improved: The 1st night the hot water heater stopped working half way through filling the large 2 person soaking tub. I notified the front desk early the next morning and they apologized and said they would get rt on it. (They...

The room was breath taking and well designed. Every single member of the staff was so friendly and helpful. The magic was in the details from the fresh chips and salsa to the comfort of the room.

I booked the Inn of the Five Graces as an anniversary celebration for my husband and I. We have wanted to stay and experience the hotel for some time.
