The hotel works with local stables that know these ancient woodlands inside and out, and I mean, where else can you gallop alongside wild ponies that have roamed freely here for centuries? New Milton itself might be a small town, but you’re perfectly positioned between the forest trails and the coast — the beach rides are something else entirely.

The Room

My room overlooked the grounds, and honestly, waking up to that view never got old. The luxury here isn’t flashy — it’s that understated English elegance where everything just works perfectly. The bathroom was enormous (heated floors, which you don’t expect but absolutely appreciate), and the bed was one of those you sink into and immediately sleep better than you have in months.
